Volunteering

We are a friendly, well-organised and supportive bunch with lots of ideas. If you volunteer with us, you’ll get a clear role description, agreed volunteering hours, training as necessary, a For Us Too t-shirt, support from the staff and trustees, and the fantastic feeling of knowing you have helped a load of other people! Here is a glimpse of our range of volunteering opportunities:

Trustees

We are always happy to hear from people who might be interested in becoming a trustee! If you are able to get involved with marketing and social media, charity networking, or organising small fundraising events, that’s even better. But don’t worry, no experience is necessary – just a desire to help out, have ideas and get involved.

Event and play session volunteers

If you love children and are looking for a fun, regular and interesting volunteering opportunity where you get to meet new people and see new places, this might be for you. We run regular drop-in sessions in both Margate and Sittingbourne, as well as a programme of school holiday play sessions and days out to local attractions.

Leafleting

If you have good knowledge of your local area and have a couple of hours to spare every month or so, we’d love you to do a round of leaflet drops at local GPs, libraries, cafes, colleges and children’s centres for us. We need help to get the word out about our services!

To discuss any of our volunteer roles please call our Head of Charity, Anna Syplywczak on 07519 716186 or email manager@forustoo.org – fill out a form and come in for a chat and that’s all it takes.

Please note: all volunteer roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check, as we work with vulnerable children and young people.
